July 28 to 30 - Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival

September 1 to 3 - Barossa Gourmet Weekend

This year's program promises to deliver the most exciting and mouth-watering Barossa Gourmet Weekend yet. September 15 to 17 - The Lower Lakes Stockman's Challenge & Bush Festival

The Lower Lakes Stockman's Challenge & Bush Festival is an annual 3 day national event bringing the history and excitement of Aussie Bush Heritage skills and traditions to South Australia. It is held in Strathalbyn in September each year with a large contingent of interstate competitors and visitors. The whole event is managed and coordinated by a dedicated and passionate group of volunteers and is a not-for-profit venture supporting The Royal Flying Doctor Service. This is our fourth event and each year it gets bigger and better. The Challenge is a test of skill in Aussie Bush Heritage events with two days of preliminaries culminating in the excitement of the Finalists competing for the prize money on Sunday. November 5 - Edwardstown Primary School Strawberry Fair

The Edwardstown Primary School Strawberry Fair is an annual event which attracts a huge crowd from all the surrounding suburbs. It's packed with free things to do for all ages, with market stalls, games, and all the fun of the fair. On this fun day the oval and courts are transformed into a riot of colour and activity. There are stalls selling a myriad of goods from books and home ware to gifts, cakes and jewellery. We have games to keep the kids busy and food stalls that offer yummy lunch and snack lines. A café and a bar cater for those who want a break and the ongoing entertainment keeps the oldies amused for hours. It is always a BIG day with a great community feel helped by the number of volunteers from the school, local churches and other community groups.
