July 30 - Springvale Snow Fest

It will be snowing again in Springvale this July. The award winning Springvale Snow Fest is back on Sunday 30 July from 12pm-7pm and is one of the must see attractions in the heart of Springvale on Buckingham Avenue. August 5 - Yarra Glen Winter Light Festival

The Yarra Glen Winter Light Festival is a collaborative volunteer event that aims to foster town identity and celebrate the growing community. With the primary focus around a magical journey and lantern parade this year, the aim is to encourage school children and community to an event that is unique to Yarra Glen and the community. The lantern parade will commence at 5.30pm in the Mackenzie Reserve. All lanterns will be made into a communal light tree, which will remain in the park for the night of the event. This year Murtoa promises a Big Weekend of surprises in many shapes and forms. Rock’n’Roll is the theme of the Weekend and Melbourne guest band Robyn and the Rancheros will perform at the Official Opening / GrainCorp Art Exhibition and throughout the Weekend. Come to Warburton to join the wonderful Shedfest event, hosted by the many small wineries in the Yarra Valley region. Now over a decade old, the festival was established to showcase the unique charm of family owned wineries and vineyards in the Yarra Valley. The annual festival is a predominantly free, grass-roots, community event that gives music fans and community members the opportunity to enjoy world-class music, with a focus on local and independent talent from the blues and roots genres. The four-day event will again be filled with performances and workshops – by more than 100 artists from all over Australia (as well as some internationals) – conducted in over 30 venues throughout Bendigo and some surrounding areas. The centrepiece of the program will be an all-day, free-entry, family-friendly concert featuring over a dozen great acts in Bendigo’s Rosalind Park on Saturday 11 November.
