September 23 to 30 - Perth Royal Show

The IGA Perth Royal Show is the highlight of the spring school holidays. All entertainment and key attractions are free with almost $1 million of free Show entertainment including the highly anticipated IGA Fireworks Spectacular every night at 8pm. October 7 - Swan View Show

As the last locally-based show in the Perth metropolitan area with a continuing agricultural tradition, the show remains strongly connected with farming community between the Swan View and Mundaring. Just 35 minutes from the city, it is a great place to bring children, and as a family event it is packed with to get to come and see cattle, sheep and poultry plus Clydesdale horses, and ferrets as well! The Show is organised by the Swan View and Districts Agricultural and Arts Society, a membership-based not-for-profit group open to anyone with an interest in the Society's objective of making sure the Swan View Show remains one of the best local shows in Western Australia. Come along to the Show for a fantastic day out. But make the day more enjoyable by entering into the spirit of the day by submitting an exhibit into one of the more than 100 classes that are available. October 7 - Oktoberfest in the Gardens

Inspired by our love of the traditional Bavarian festival and great beer, Oktoberfest in the Gardens features a massive big top beer hall, authentic German food stalls, roving performers, sideshow alley, silent disco and an eclectic mix of entertainment and competitions across multiple stages throughout the afternoon and evening. October 12 to 15 - Entwined in the Valley

Over one long weekend in October, we are celebrating everything Swan Valley. This signature weekend is flourishing with food, wine, art, culture, music and comedy. Events will be popping up all over the region, giving you the chance to meet the makers, learn from the masters and experience the authentic Swan Valley way of life. Masterclasses are intimate, unique opportunities to learn from our local craftsmen, and a number of them will be run over the course of the weekend. Discover the art of making a French macaron, taste the perfect chocolate and wine pairing, prepare asparagus all the way from earth to plate, become a seasoned winemaker for a day, or try your hand at painting with a glass of red in hand. Foodies will be inspired by a decadent degustation, long-table grazes, barbeques, and tastings. October 15 - Riverside Ramble

Organised by the City of Swan & Rotary Club of Midland, this year's Riverside Ramble is a free entry Family Fun Day held in Reg Bond Reserve - a beautiful park on the banks of the Swan rivers upper reaches in Viveash. October 20 to 22 - BeauVine Food & Wine Festival

BeauVine Food & Wine Festival returns in October for a weekend of decadence & delight in the picturesque surrounds of Birdwood Square!
